The North Coast begins just 2 ½
hours North of Sydney at beautiful Port Stephens and extends
north past Coffs Harbour. Dotted with beautiful beaches
and magnificent getaways many families continue to holiday
on the North Coast.
Getting there:
by road
- From Sydney: 2 ½ hours north of Sydney along the
Pacific Highway you find Port Stephens. Stay on the Pacific
Highway as the region extends another 3 ½ hours to
the north. From Brisbane: approx 5 ½ hours south
of Brisbane along the Pacific Highway you will find the
Coffs Harbour region. Continue south along the Pacific Highway
for another 3 ½ hours to Port Stephens.
by bus -
Many bus companies service the North Coast and beyond to
Brisbane (refer to your preferred transport company for
timetables and fare prices)
by train
- The XPT Countrylink, services most of the north coast
(refer to Countrylink for timetable and fare prices.)
by plane
- Virgin Blue offers flights to Coffs Harbour from Brisbane,
Melbourne and Sydney and from Brisbane to Newcastle. (Refer
to Virgin Blue for prices and timetables).
Qantas offers flights to Coffs Harbour via Sydney form all
capital cities.
Port Macquarie via Sydney from all capital cities.
Newcastle from Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. (Refer
to Qantas for prices and timetables).
Accomodation:
Great area to get back to the basics, and take the kids
camping – there are an abundance of caravan parks
and camping grounds available in this area but for those
who enjoy luxury you will not be forgotten. |
